muneca2
I still remember when TU deleted my citi listing from my credit report last month, I was disputing that with the CRA's because that particular listing was under "identity theft".Today I received a call from citi that they are still investigating, she verified my name and address and then told me, I will receive the result of the investigation by mail.Maybe I am jumping to conclusions, but I think they are trying to get a judgment against me...if that is true...what can I do next? any ideas? muneca2,

miracle
*nods*There are many people that are very knowlegable in many different areas. While Doc is very sharp and helpful, there are also other members that know what they are talking about. That is what makes these boards so wonderful is that we can help each other out. Now I am starting to sound like a Halmark card.. so I will SHOOSH about that.So.. on to answering your original question... was this, in fact, Identity theft? wunderwoman
What would make you think they are trying to get a judgment against you? You'd get a bill before they'd send you to court, demanding that you pay. Is this sincerely identity theft? If it is, there's no need to worry. If it's not, you need to tell us more. miracle
Were you able to send the documents to the CC company showing it was identity theft? I am not sure I would count your chickens before they hatch... and see what comes back from them to see the results of the investigaton. If they are trying to pursue a judgement at that point, I would worry about it. They may be sending you the results of the investigation so that you have documentation that it was fraud.. muneca2
yes, I sent copy to the cc company too. maybe I jumped to conclusion too fast...and I have no options to wait for the result of the investigations after all...I just hate the idea that TU will insert that listing again...to answer the question to docdon, my last post was things are getting better...muneca2,
miracle
If TU reinserts they will have to notify you first and you can always send them a copy of their letter to show deletion due to identity theft.
