FYI for 'recent' Florida residents

We are all aware of the fact that if you live in a different state than the one where the debt was incurred, Fed Law allows the CA to use the state with the longest SOL. Not true in FL!!! 8-)8-)8-) To the CAs!

I found this in the FL Statutes:

95.10 Cause of action arising in another state.--When the cause of action arose in another state or territory of the United States, or in a foreign country, and its laws forbid the maintenance of the action because of lapse of time, no action shall be maintained in this state.

I moved here from SC. The SOL there is 3 yrs. In FL it is either 4 or 5. Because of that statute, SC's SOL is the one that applies.
