workinninetofive
A friend of mine wrote an OC a nice goodwill ltr. I was surprised at how nasty their response was. She was 60 days late at one time. It was late in 2001. They sent back a copy of the prom note. Question is, can I send them back something asking for proof of the loan being late? Are they required to respond?
DocDon
You can ask for a payment history.Did she get the GW letter to the right people, or was it sent to one of those pleasant $9 an hour desk jockeys?
workinninetofive
She addressed it to a high up... but he gave it to a desk jockey LOL... and he is a resentful jerk. Should she continue with the goodwills? It looks like their just going to pass them down. Or would you ask for payment history?
DocDon
Do both. Try for their VP in charge of Consumer Relations or Public Affairs.... something along those lines.
workinninetofive
Doc-Do you know of a sample ltr for providing payment info? It it the DV?
DocDon
I just simply request a payment history. I tell them to provide one so I can compare them to my financial statements.
