LearningCredit
I have about 8 open credit card accounts and the fact that Capital One is not increasing my credit lines really ticks me off. I've had Cap 1 for almost 3 years now and not 1 of my 3 accounts has got an increase. However, they offered to combine my 3 accounts into 1 with the sum of the credit lines.SHOULD I GO AHEAD AND CONSOLIDATE THE ACCOUNTS? Perhaps, I have too many open credit card accounts. PLEASE HELP!!!
luckyduck
If they will do that, and remove two of the accounts from your CRs, and give you the interest rate of your lowest card, then yes, you should do that. You really don't want Cap1 on your report. They don't report credit limits, so if you can get two of them off that easily, take them up on it.
