jlgreer
I am getting ready to sue a CA in small claims court. The CA is locted in the same state as me but a different city. My question is what city do I have to sue in? When I called the small claims court in my town nobody had a definite answer for me. They kept saying that I would need to sue in the city where the claim orginated. Personally, I think that this would be my city since that's where the violations against me occurred. I am unsure and don't want to have to file twice, besides, the court said I would loose any court fees if I file in the wrong venue. Please help!!!!! 8)
Leadhead
You can file suit where the violation occurred, which is usually the county where you reside.
