In the Dark
I'm a little confused: I have a credit card account (Chase) that the CRA's show has been charged-off. I have requested a DV from the CA. The CA has not responded at all and the 30-day time limit I requested has expired. (I AM sending the follow-up letter as recommended in your DV Strategy.)Questions: Does the CA remove the original account from the CRA's, or does the OC have to do this? Also, who should report to the CRA's that the account is being disputed, the OC or the CA?Thanks once again for your help! SL
willingtocope
Chances are the OC will remain on your CR...although it should show "Charged Off" and/or "transferred to another lender".If the CA also shows on you CR, then that one should say disputed. If they can't validate, then they should remove it...
