creditcardcory 11 Report post Posted December 28, 2004 The "Payment Status" for my Cap 1 paid charge off (which was really a paid collection) varies per CB. EQ - Bad debt & placed for collections & skipEX - Paid, was a charge-offTU - Payment after chargeoff/collectionQuestion: Are these terms used loosely or is each CB reporting something different? Guest jeeptravel Report post Posted December 28, 2004 Same situation here on one of my old accounts. All three are reporting differently, yet all are "negs" due to their nature. I've tried to petition/dispute to get all 3 to read BK7 discharge, but it hasn't happened for 8 months. My main concern then, was to get balances to zero, which did help my score as that happened.Incidentally gang, what does "skip" mean???jt
c m chase 252 Report post Posted December 28, 2004 "Skip" is skip tracing....which means basically they're going to be looking for you. They have people who scour various things to find out, i.e., public records, vehicle registrations, phone records, etc. It's just a way for CAs to find the people that have moved. It sounds more menacing than it is, really.
