NefertitiX
I just realized that 3 OCs and CAs on my credit reports that Experian and Equifax keep verifying are listed with old and incorrect addresses and numbers (I think OC's Lerner and Richs have been swallowed up). The telephone number for the one CA is (111) 111-1111. Should I point this out as proof that these are not actually being verified? Or should I send DV letters to these "bad" addresses and use the "return to sender" as proof that these can't be verified or validated?

Send the DV letters to these addresses and use the "return to sender" as proof not in a sense to prove that these accounts can't be validated or verified because (they could if the CRA can get the current address), but as proof that these debt collectors took away your right to validate your debt via the FDCPA. Since they can't collece on this debt unless they proved that they validated it to you. Say I had no way of getting in contact with these guys but couldn't seem to get an answer because of the wrong addresses. Also demand that Experian and the other CRA's prove to you how they validated your debt. See here for more details:http://www.creditinfocenter.com/repair/MethodOfVerification.shtmlThis should help you very much. Make them provide records of what they are doing. This link has it all and should help you.Hope this helps.
NefertitiX
Thanks Q but I've actually been in the debt validation phase for a while now. I've gotten rid of all of the CAs, now I'm trying to get rid of OC tradelines if possible. The CRAs have not answered fully answered the PR request, they just keep giving vague answers and printouts of creditor addresses. I don't want to waste money but I feel like the return to sender from the creditor's old addresses should prove that these debts aren't being validated so that's why I asked. Its worth a shot so I'm going to go for it...worse case scenario it strengthens my case if I choose to file suit.
