What if CA is not licensed or bonded?

Hello all,

A collection agency trying to collect a debt from me did not list a phone number on their collections notice. I didn't have any intention of calling them anyway; I submitted my dispute in writing. I reviewed some items on the forum and found some information on how to find out if a collection agency is licensed or bonded in your state and their state, and the states that require this.

I can't find that this agency is licensed or bonded in Texas (me) or Arizona (them), but don't know how to confirm if this is so. Is there a way to determine conclusively if a CA is properly licensed and bonded?

Thanks to all for your help. :D
