Credit Score for auto loan?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to buy a used car. I need to know who pulls TU in Alabama for auto financing? Or better yet, is there a list somewhere?

I'm hoping not to get a high intrest rate.

Do anyone know what credit score is decent for a fair finance rate. TU is my high score of 660. Will a score of 660 qualify for auto financing?

If there were a concrete answer to your question, a chart would be posted, believe me. :D

You may be hard pressed to find anyone in the southern states who doesn't use EQ, let alone one who only pulls from one CRA.

try looking here: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/whopulledmycredit/

640 is usually the dropoff for certain lease programs. 680 would be even better for you. Since no 2 dealerships are the same, and most salesmen want to bleed you for the most $ possible, you should do some shopping / research on your own before walking into a dealership.

I bought a new Ford this weekend w/ an Eq. score of 679 -zero down. The paper is still floating around financeland for up to ten days, but I was told the loan would be carried by a local credit union and not Ford Motor Credit as FMCC would be 6.9% and the CU was 4.9%. My Exp. and TU scores are 659 or so.

Good Luck
