mkr_00
Should I us ethe online dispute method or snail mail with certified mail? If I use the online method, how can I prove it when 30 days are up?Thanks,Keith
miracle
YOu can use the online method, just make sure you print the screen that shows that your dispute has been transmitted. Make sure it reflects the date. Usually, if you are following up on this with the CRA, you will need to do CMRRR. Good luck! -Jenn
hendu
Miracle is right. I do 90% of my disputes online. The last dispute I did with Certified Mail was during CHOD. The only thing to worry about with online disputing is making sure you print off the page that was submitted. In one instance, TU and CSC never responded to a request for investigation and I sent an ITS letter along with the printed "submitted page of proof" from their websites and they both deleted the entries that I disputed. I was convinced from that point on that it was proof enough. Good Luck!
miracle
Oh Yes! Good clarification point there.. if you are participating in CHOD, you want to send CMRRR as that is part of the effectiveness of CHOD.. But as Chod season has passed.... not much that we need to worry with there
