mister fabulous
I sent out dispute letters to all CRA's CMRRR back in 1st week of December. It's been over 30 days now and I've received no contact or notice from them. TU did delete a charge off from reports the other day though.Just wondering how long is long enough to inform the CRA they violated and didn't respond in proper time. I have green cards with the dates and sigs of the people who received them from me.
morrow
I give it 35 days (30 for the investigation and another 5 for mailing out results) if nothing after that, by all means...FIRE AWAY the next ones stating they are in violation. Be sure to include copies of your original disputes and copies of the green cards as well.

Champion80
Hello all, I had a dipute open with Experian, I called them today because i checked the status online, they told me with our new free reports we get every year, they also get 45 days now to validate an account, is this true, havent found that law yet, but will keep looking..Happy new year. miracle
Hmm.. to my knowledge... they get 30 days. If anything else is sent in (ie an additional dispute letter, or responding to one of their form letters...) it gives them another 15 days which totals 45 days. Gryffindor
If you disputed using a FACTA (free annual report) then, yes, they do get 45 days to investigate.
Champion80
Thats a rip, well I guess there is nothing I can do, I know for a fact the charge off is going to come off my account because the company doesnt respond, they are either out of business or their contact info has changed, because both EQ, and EX told me they got no response. Thanks for the reply. Happy new year.
