mzjazzyazz
I thought if you sent them a letter they had 30 days to respond. I sent out a dv letter on the 13th of last month. The CA has not responded, but before I sent the dv letter to the CA, I disputed it (yeah, i know that was a mistake), and it was verified. I was going to send the CRA a copy of my dv lette, with a copy of the green card and tell them that they didnt respond to my dv so they need to delete. Will this do the trick? creditobsessed
It SHOULD work, but there is no guarantee. The CA does not have a time limit in which to respond to your letter, BUT they are supposed to cease all collection activity until they provide you with complete validation. Collection acitivity includes verifying the information with the CRA. So, if you DV them, and they don't respond, and you dispute with the CRA then the CA should not verify if they do then you have a violation on the part of the CA under the FDCPA.Good Luck
mzjazzyazz
should I re-dispute it, or should I just send a copy of the green card and letter to the CRA.
Gryffindor
You're going to have to send them a 2nd DV letter. When the green card comes back in the mail, then dispute it with the CRA's.
