mnorwood
I finally bit the bullet and called a CRA for the first time ever. I had a split file with TU, so I called up and first talked to Deena who obviously was foreign, she was very helpful. She deleted some old addresses, she basically just asked "what ones do you want deleted". She then said my file was split b/c there were too may accts listed ( must be inquiries from PG though b/c I only have like 5 or 6 accts). Deena the transferred me to another dept to merge the files, this new girl, obviously American, who said "ok, I'll merge the two and send you a copy of report" Overall very helpful and nice, but I am curious as to what will be screwed up when I get the new one. miracle
Makes sure you pull out a copy of old disputes and responses, many times information and accounts reappear on your report after they have been removed from disputing.Hope it isn't too big of a headache for you. Keep us updated!
mnorwood
Well, I did get my updated copy in the mail. Not too bad, only one Capital one charge off showed back up on there, but for some reason they listed this twice. I have the letter where thay deleted so I will be sending it in to them shortly. However this is not showing up on PG, I wonder why?????
DocDon
Reinsertion, huh? Check to make sure they didn't change the account number on you or something too...( Requirements Relating to Reinsertion of Previously Deleted Material(ii) Notice to consumer. If any information that has been deleted from a consumer's file pursuant to subparagraph (A) is reinserted in the file, the consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of the reinsertion in writing not later than 5 business days after the reinsertion or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency. mzjazzyazz
I had the same thing happen to me. The rep who I spoke to said they had to create a new file number for me because they were unable to access my file when I called one time. A collection account that was deleted showed back up. She looked in the records and saw it was supposed to be deleted so she did it right then. Just call back. Sometimes you have to keep calling back to get the right rep on the phone. oh and by the way, not all the helpful reps are American.
momof5
No, but at least you can understand them! I got on the phone with EX and got and Indian. She couldn't understand me, I couldn't understand her. I told her to get me someone who speaks AMERICAN English. In the end, I hung up!
mzjazzyazz
LOL. It seems that I have had this same problem with TU lately. They have the same reps who answer the phone using a different name. I just keep hanging up on them until I get someone you want. Some have been helpful, others are not.
