WGL
For student loans on my credit report listed as "deferred" or "not in repayment", should I attempt to remove from my credit report (~$22000)?No defaults or late payments (maybe it helps) ??Also, if I start "professional" school in the Fall I may need to apply for loans. Should I attempt to remove because of debt/income ratio?
LynnInMN
You cant get them removed, there is no way that the lenders would let them be deleted. They can easily verify them. Once you start applying for loans for professional school, you must disclose all your loans and loan balances. Besides, all the info is on NSLDS which lenders all have access too. bigdaddyroy
I hate to disagree with Lynn, but I have had several students loans that have been removed by all three majors. I simply disputed either amounts and/or dates. So anything is possible. I would not try and validate with the lender, but certainly with the big boys.
