Orchard Approved!

Recommended Posts

It seems like all the work I've done on my CR over the last year is starting to pay off. My scores before I started was eq 492, ex 472 and tu 490 - now with all the help I've received from this forum my scores are now eq 667, ex 605 and tu 597 :D THANKS FORUM!! I'm not out of the woods yet, as I still have a couple disputes pending and one sticky CA who is threatning to sue. Hopefully they don't respond to my most recent DV ltr.

In any event the other day I took a chance and tested the credit waters by applying for an Orchard credit card and I was approved! :o The interest rates are definitely higher than I expected to pay. But through responsible spending and making payments before the due date to avoid those crazy penalties I just may be on that slow road to recovery. 8)

In case you're wondering, they used experian.

With that high of an EQ score you should sign up for a DCU VISA. They pull only EQ. I got a 3K VISA line at 10.9% with a 655 score and 2 years post BK7. It tales $20 to sign up but worth it. They also refi'd my car for 6.25%. Much better than the 13% I was paying before. Mike

In my experience, it was quick. May I suggest the American Pacific Bank? They are great- I use it for gas only. I applied by mail and received the secured card in about 10 days. They reported it to all three CRAs within a few days. That was my first 3 months ago- then (thanks to this site) I have been accepted for an Orchard Bank unsecured and a Target card unsecured.
