aqtpie269
This is a dispute with EX they deleted the CA that I settled( have letter listing account and stating they will report it as paid to all 3 CB) with, then updated the OC saying "lender sold account" and closed. It does not state that it was paid... should I ask for that to be stated on account also if they will not remove or since they sold the account do I have a choice?? Also I had 3 lines on same account by OC and 2 CA they deleted OC and 1 AC The main differnce is the OC stated 2001 date and CA gives 2004 date I have old CR with dates listed by all 3 .. Reaging?? No statement of charge off just past due....Im not really sure Newbie!!TIA..
c m chase
This is a dispute with EX they deleted the CA that I settled( have letter listing account and stating they will report it as paid to all 3 CB) with, (congrats on the deletion!!) then updated the OC saying "lender sold account" and closed. It does not state that it was paid... should I ask for that to be stated on account also if they will not remove or since they sold the account do I have a choice?? Does the OC still list a balance? If so, that's in violation. They MUST report $0 balance and they MUST report they sold the account...that's all they have to do, from what I understand. But yeah, if they're reporting any balance, call them on it.Also I had 3 lines on same account by OC and 2 CA they deleted OC and 1 AC The main differnce is the OC stated 2001 date and CA gives 2004 date I have old CR with dates listed by all 3 .. Reaging?? No statement of charge off just past due....Im not really sure Newbie!! Well, what date are you talking about? The only date that would be changed if they were re-aging would be the date of last activity (DOLA). If they have a different 'open date' or otherwise, that's not re-aging. DOLA is the only one you need to watch.TIA..
JJ_The_Disputer
I see a lot of you talking about the DOLA, but I have yet to find it on any of my reports...It definately doesn't show up on PG reports, and I oculdn't find it on my printed reports from the bureaus either...is there some trick to figuring out what the DOLA is, or should it be listed on the report plainly? How could I be missing this?
c m chase
You're right...it's not easy to find. The only place I KNOW of to get it is from the CSC reports. It's on there. However, if you're not in the CSC area, I don't know. I think at some point EQ had it too? Anyone else?
c m chase
Oh. After I posted that, I realized you CAN find it...just not listed as "DOLA". Ok, say you have your Experian credit report. For example, check this one out - an example of how items are laid out on EX:ABC Creditor, Inc.Date Opened: 1/1999Type: RevolvingAccount HistoryCharge Off as of 3-2002150 days as of 2-2002120 days as of 1-200290 days as of 12-200160 days as of 11-200130 days as of 10-2001Ok....that's what you need to find. I know EX is laid out like this. Find your "30 days as of" line. One month before that? That's your DOLA. In this example, DOLA would be 9-2001.DOLA is the last payment before it went into its delinquent status (charged off).
aqtpie269
In that case on EX OC states account history : collection as of 2-2001 to 5-2001 and CA says Account history collection as of 12-2004 , 11-2004 that is all that is listed for both of the account history.. So does that mean this will come off from the original OC date (which was deleted without dispute only disputed CAs)or the CA ???
aqtpie269
also forgot to mention I have an old csc report listing OC and the DOLA is 6-2000

c m chase
Yeppers. No matter if it's been sold/passed around 100 times...you will always go from the DOLA of the OC. The CAs are supposed to do this too. If they don't...if they make a new date up, they are re-aging, which is ILLEGAL.Make sure you watch 'em. Otherwise, you got it. JJ_The_Disputer
CM Chase, Thanks to your help, I noticed a credit card on an experian report from October listing it 30 days late as of 2-2000. That would make the DOLA 1-2000. Now if we look at November's Experian report, it is reported 30 days late as of 3-2000. That's not a huge difference, but it's a whole month. If they've been doing this every month, I'm always going to be X number of years away from having it fall off.
c m chase
Yeah....Crap1 was doing the same thing to me, too. They upped it twice...by a month each time. I threw a fit about it to the CRAs when it was verified and they (Crap1) updated to the original DOLA.Don't know how involved Crap1 really was in all of it...but a couple of hateful disputes worked.
