tarbaby
my husband and i lived in va for a couple of years while he was in the navy. we moved back home to nc 5+ years ago. i recently pulled my cr and found two judgements on there. both from va with charway fcu and bell atlantic. since i was not even living in the va at the time of the judgement and i was not served a summons, is there any way to get these two off of my report? they will drop off by sept of next year anyway. but better sooner than later. willingtocope
Judgements stay on your CR for 10 yrs...and can be reupped for another 10 if the creditor chooses. Check out the link at the top on "Vacating Judgements"...
bigdaddyroy
A judgement is very damaging to your credit. Some judgments can remain on your report for around 10-20 years, and can easily be renewed automatically. Fight this as hard as you can. Consult with the more experince members here at this forum. Good Luck!
