No Judgments.Since you are in CA, I am assuming UD is unlawful detainer? There are companies out there that store all kinds of consumer information. Like the DMV etc. If there is a company which keeps unlawful detainer (eviction) information, and sells the info to 3rd parties, they are most likey consumer reporting agencies.FCRA-"(f) The term "consumer reporting agency" means any person which, for monetary fees, dues, or on a cooperative nonprofit basis, regularly engages in whole or in part in the practice of assembling or evaluating consumer credit information or other information on consumers for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports to third parties, and which uses any means or facility of interstate commerce for the purpose of preparing or furnishing consumer reports."If they fall in this definition, they have to comply with the FCRA. There was a case recently where a truck driver sued a company that compiles commercial driving info on truckers. He sent a dispute per the FCRA, and they laughed. They paid him later though LOL

No Judgments.UD registry is not the OC therefore they fall under the FDCPA.I dont have any knowledge of evictions but I have dealt with UD registry in the past for outstanding debt on moving from a property. My situation with them is that I moved out of an apartment and the apartment management company charged me big time for maintanence. In a nutshell, UD Registry the debt collector showed up on my CR. Unfortunately I had no knowledge at the time of debt validation, and had to pay the item in order to move into my next apartment.I know they dont keep accurate records and though it is paid, do I have recourse to get the item deleted from my CR?If anyone knows and can help me with some advise as to how to handle it, I would be very grateful.Thanx
