rideblue
I financed a new truck in 2002 through chrysler financial, I ended up getting hurt at work which left us with alot of bills and no way to pay them. We ended up filing a bk 13. We kept the truck because it was reliable trans- we have been current on our payments since the bk, but chrysler financial has not reported a payment as of april 2003. I have disputed this 3 times with the credit bureaus with no results. I have also called chrysler but they wont talk to me becuase of the bk. My lawyer wants more money to write a letter(crap), is there anything I can do to correct this myself? I need to put some posatives on my credit report, which this should be, because we havent been late in over a year. Would the FCRA section 623 still apply to chrysler even on a bk? What steps should I take? Thanks.
creditobsessed
I'd be careful in dealing with a ch13. In my experience people report all kinds of weird things. Does the TL show "included in BK 13"? Is a balance showing? What is the payment history prior to the BK 13 showing? Is the BK and/or truck paid off? rideblue
I didnt include my truck in the 13 no. But I was a month behind prior to the 13, after it went through I was able to bring the loan to current status and it has been on time now for 1 year. But Chrysler keeps reporting it as ,last payment as of April 2003. I have called Chrysler and it still hasnt changed.I am trying to clean things up now and build some posative credit, but there is no reason they should keep reporting incorrect information, any ideas. momof5
I wouldn't touch a Chrysler TL unless you are prepared for a battle! I disputed mine (had a Apr 03 (30) May 03 (curr) Jun 03 (60)) DUH! when they updated, they went from that plus a 30 in 02.... to..... 10 (30) day lates and a (60)!!!! They changed the months of the 30-curr-60 from those to 18 months earlier.... 2 days ago my bureau read Jan - Jun 04 curr, now ALL those months are 30 late! I THINK NOT!I also disputed Chrysler on myboyfriend. His was a 1994 loan that was repoed in 97. Well aged. After dispute, they reported a CURRENT CHARGE OFF!F*'d BOTH of our scores!
