SOL on medical collections

What would be the SOL on a medical collection account in the state of MO? Also, what date do I go by to determine when to start counting?

If you look above, you will see a link to the SOL page. MO is 5 years. The date depends on whether you ever made any payments or not. If you never made a payment, the date would be the date of service.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was considered a contract or open account. If I made payments, would it then be 5 years from the last payment? Is there a date on the CBR that you go by?

Two different animals. The SOL (5years) is the time during which they can SUE you and COLLECT. (generally from the last payment)

The reporting period is the 7-years from the date of original delinquency, NOT the last payment.

Is the DOLA listed on the CBR?

Actually, the reporting period is 7 years PLUS 180 days from the date it was placed for collections, either internally or externally. In other words, it can stay on your report for 7-1/2 years from when you first missed a payment and never again brought the account current.
