creditrookie
I have 3 accounts that are in collections, I've already received letters from CA's, but they only show the OC's on my CR. My CR shows the accounts listed as collections under the OC. How do I go about disputing these? Do i still send a DV to the collection companys I'm getting the letters from even though they aren't listed on my CR or do i dispute them directly with the OC? divemedic
Both. Send a DV to the CA and also to the OC. Even though they aren't debt collectors, they still have to comply with FCRA. Also, are they really the OC, or a bank that bought the note? If so, before or after delinquent?
