coed27
Hello all most knowledgeable,I hope I am posting this in the right forum; I need to know how dumb this actually is:I have my Equifax cr and it list a creditor as follows:Crackhead Acceptance CorpDate of last payment :11/99Date of last activity: 10/97. Now, I didn't just fall off the kumquat truck but is it safe to assume that obviously the date of last payment and date of last activity should be the same to be "accurate?" It just doesn't make sense. Any feedback would be grately appreciated Allie
momof5
My Ex has a similar issue on his TXU listing.... Date of last payment 7/01 - Date of First Major Delinquency 7/03! Yeah right! That is illegally reaging an account! Also, SOL for TX and FL is 4 yrs..... 7/05 expires this debt. Marking it 03 causes it to hang on until 07 if one didn't know better! nevermore
Coed 27, the CRA's are concerned with the reporting period. What date of last activity should be, is date of 1st Delinquency that lead to the charge-off. That is the date that starts the reporting period. So it is possible that a payment or even payments were made after the "DOLA" but didn't restart the reporting period clock. It looks like the acct you are refering to should drop off soon. 7 years plus 180 days from DOLA.Mom of 5, It does appear your acct is being illegally re-aged.
