wolfpup
i had disputed some paid collections with, to be deleted upon payment per agreement with CA. I didnt have an agreement on it, just thought i'd see how it went. EQ came back with Paid in Full Accts will automatically be deleted after ten years. Their results are dated 12/31/04.I pulled my report today from myfico and these same accounts still show the balance as $0 - but it is still showing unpaid. i really did pay these. Does it matter if the balance is $0 and is still says unpaid? SHould i even do anything about these?
creditdodger
Paid Collections hurt you...find other reasons to dispute. The CA will most likely not respond to EQ.

The CA will most likely not respond to EQ.One can only hope they dont respond to EQ. That would mean they have to delete it I pulled my report today from myfico and these same accounts still show the balance as $0 - but it is still showing unpaid. i really did pay these. Does it matter if the balance is $0 and is still says unpaid? SHould i even do anything about these? It makes a huge difference. But since you are using myfico, you may want to get your reports from TU, EQ, and EX and dispute the status of the accounts. If they get verified again inaccurately, you can use that as leverage to get them all deleted since they violated the FCRA.
