badcreditsucks
Since my attempts at pay for deletions did not work, I am wondering what are the best terms to have CA/OC have the TL state when settling an account, ie. Paid as Agreed, Paid, etc. Of course, since they didn't take the pay for delete bait, I will not offer to pay the full amount. What percentage of the debt should I offer to pay? The accounts are no where near SOL (all within the last year or so) and range from $200 to $336.

momof5
For me, I tell them, no delete, no pay. Period.I have had them threaten to sue, yadda yadda, but they didn't. If they started to take action, I would have paid to stop the action. I refuse to pay when it won't help my score and it is the only leverage you have.I actually have one scheduled to fall off shortly. It was for a measley $41. It says "consumer disputes" on it and has for years. It didn't hurt me when I got my unsecured cc's, car notes, and my 5.75% mortgage so they can get BENT! They could have made money. They chose not to. Me, I refused to pay and now it will age off.
badcreditsucks
They OC/CA's are: AT&T credit management $77 I am currently waiting for response, sent letter to have account reflect paid as agreed, since it is over a year old. I figured keeping the account on my credit report, but have it reflect paid as agreed with no negative info may help to increase my score, versus trying to get it deleted. The others, which I sent pay for delete letters CMRRR (didn't work).....NCO Financial $336, Prince Parker and Assoc. $324 and Encore Receivables $227. I am thinking about faxing a pay for delete letter to these companies if I can obtain their fax numbers, hopefully I will get a quicker response.
