Auto Loans.....post BK

Recommended Posts

Chap 7 BK discharged 10/03

I have 3500 to put down. Looking for a 15-20K loan that's

not in the freaky 21% arena.

I have a one complete paid infull 5 year auto loan w/ 4 30-day lates

and a new current auto loan reporting all 13 months possitive. I'm not

upside down in the loan and expect to trade w/ purchase. I got approved

for $15K through Roadloans, but have to wait until tomorrow to get the details (term & %)....

Is there anyone else I should consider?

How is your income. If it is pretty good try Patelco. With a 611 EX score you might be able to swing a pretty good rate. I had Roadloans for a year at 13.09% and that was 6 months after discharge. Now after two years just refi'd with DCU at 6.25%. My score at the time of the DCU loan was 655 and they pull only EQ. Patelco is the one that pulls EX so try there first.

Surprised again. GMAC got me down to 9.9% @60mo. That dealer didn't like that I was gonna write them a check. Their first quote was insane I told them they were way out of the ballpark. I probably could have haggled for better but I had already been their an hour. All in all it was the fastest car buying experience I've ever had.

For the Organization on the top right of the application page put

California Association of Older Americans.

They don't even check or care that you don't live in California.

No sweat, you'll be fine.
