DIASAFFECTION
when you dispute item on you CR, they wont be reported if somebody runs your credit in the 30 day period of the investigation? if i disputed all the bad stuff and then applied for a loan then the negative items wouldn't show up? sorry if this is a dumb question. i am still new to this. DocDon
Not a dumb question at all. I believe it was determined that this was only true for EQ....There is a discussion about this is the archives.... see if we can't dig it up.
c m chase
I believe Doc is right. However, that's how it USED to be....from what I've heard and seen, it no longer works that way.
paw67
As CM Chase said, it used to be that way. EQ would mark the items in dispute which would artificially inflate your score & essentially "hide" those items from creditors that pulled your report. Unfortunately they quit doing that some time ago. Now you don't get the inflated score and the items aren't hidden when in dispute.Pattypaw67
