tarbaby
i have three judgements on my cr's. two in va and one here in nc. one drops off this year, one next year and one in 07. i have yet to pay on any of them. so, should i pay before time for them to drop off or not pay at all? from what i have read so far, these are a little more complicated than collections..right??? paw67
To pay or not to pay is a personal decision. Whether or not they can come after you even if they fall off your reports is another question. Judgements in some states can be renewed. So, even if they aren't on your reports any longer, they can still come after you to collect. For example, I'm in Indiana and a judgement is good for 10 years and can be renewed for another 10. Making the judgement ok to collect on for 20 years even though it can only be reported for 7. You might want to check into the laws in your state and the other state that the judgements are in to see how long they are good for.Good luck!Pattypaw67
tarbaby
oh. so they can only be reported for 7year? so if it is renewed then it will not be on my report? that is my main concern. i don't mind paying them. i just don't want them on my report for another 7 to 10 years.
