myfico vs privacyguard scores

Recommended Posts

Question guys,

I have checked my scores on myfico and privacyguard. They are:

myfico - TU - 625 / EFX - 626 / EXP - 579

privacyguard - TU - 615 / EFX - 598 / EXP - 588

Which is closer to what a mortgage compay or bank would get if they pulled your score? Does anyone have any comments or info? :?

When DH & I got our mortgage our myfico scores were dead on with the mortgage scores pulled.

PG scores are fako scores and are really worthless other than for monitoring purposes. DH & I just use them to see if we have any big changes one way or another and then we know to check our actual fico scores.

That is what I thought, but when LO ran credit on 12/8 through landsafe, scores were different from myfico.

TU / EFX / EXP

11/22 myfico - 578 / 598 / 551

12/8 landsafe - 585 / 545 / 557

12/15 myfico - 585 / 598 / 559

Now that I look at this, I guess they weren't that different, except for EFX. I wonder why the large difference?

Thanks for comments! Hope this may help someone else out there!

That's why it is important to check all 3 cra's and see who is reporting what.

I use PG to see which ones have a large difference in amt owed or whether it is reporting at all.

Good luck to you and keep us informed :)
