damienm69
First I'd like to say that I am new to this site. Came acrossed it the other day looking for answers to endless questions. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Ok..someone Please answer if I have a leg to stand on, and what to do. Or if I just eat it. Thank you in advance. On 9/15/04 stupid me fell for the better give us a bank account number speech from famous barr and authorized $40.00 be electronically deducted from my account, and have the photo copy of that e-check. That went through and 2 weeks later the 15 calls a day began again. However, I have not authorized or paid anything to them since 9/15/04, and on 1/19/05 Famous Barr submitted the exact same E-check, but not for $40 but for $95.67. I pulled up the photo copy of the e-check, and it is the exact same one they used on 9/15/04, even the total on the e-check is $40 but my account deducted $95.67. I owe my credit union too, and they are not very helpful, or pleasant so offered little assistance except to call Famous Barr. Ironic, they were clicking in, and when I started with my problem, they lady hung up on me. Called Famous Barr right back, and 1) rep wouldn't give his name, 2) after told him what happen, hung up on me. Another irony, I believe my Famous Barr bill originally was only for $70 something dollars and is now well over $700. But that for another time. I know they say I owe..thats great. But do they legally have the right to ever touch your account unless you give them authorization? I know this is no, but unsure because I authorized in September. I also feel my bank may be at fault also, because they are showing on their server side a pop up of this e-check for being $40 and showing all 9/15/04's info... I.E endorsed, accounts, everthing is 09/15/04.... ok i'll stop rambling...I appreciate all and any comments. Thank you..Chad
DocDon
Federal Trade Commission. Your State Attorney General. The Attorney General's Office where Famous Barr is located. They went into your account without your authorization. File complaints. Then, when this situation is settled, close your account with that credit union for being so helpful and get yourself a new account where customers actually mean something.
