Mannerheim
Hi Everybody!Back around 1/20/05, prior to finding this website, I launched my own counter-credit attack.I sent four separate letters to each of the bureaus, which between them contained about 24 disputes of all kinds (judgments, collections, lates, etc.).I checked out my online report at Experian today, and they are just showing 8 out of the 24 being disputed. That's odd, given the fact that all four letters were confirmed received on 1/25/05, and all disputes were posted on 1/27/05.If none of the other 12 aren't opened/responded to in 35 days, do I win by default? Also, if my dispute indicated that the judgment was to be deleted upon payment, will it now be deleted? If I disputed certain late payments with a mortgage company, are they now removed without further challenge.I do have the green cards. Thanks for the help!Andrew
DocDon
If they accepted the letter with the disputes, and did not complete the disputes on all the items, they must be deleted. No, simply disputing the entries as "to be deleted upon payment" is not a automatic deletion. It must be investigated under the same procedure. Mannerheim
Hi Doc.Thanks for the quick reply. I researched further, and the reason why some of my disputes are falling off online, is because they are being verified as accurate. What do I do now? How soon should I re-dispute? What's the most effective angle? I've been reading these boards voraciously for the last week, and I still could use some good advice.Sears, for example. They're hitting me twice. First with the Sears chargeoff, then with a judgment from Sherman Acquisition. The chargeoff is verified, and now the judgment as well. How should I best attack this?THANK YOU,Andrew
Mannerheim
The Sears judgment has been paid in full for 3 years
DocDon
Sears probably sold the account to Sherman who then took you to court. The Sears account should read "$0 balance, $0 past due, sold/transerred to another lender"I've gone through and asked the creditors who verified information to forward a payment history. I was able to find numerous errors, and used that to my advantage... (ie: "oh, you're saying you damaged my credit by verifying incorrect info? Did you even look at my account?").The unwritten rule is you should probably wait 30-45 days and then dispute another way.

Mannerheim
Have you ever successfully removed a paid judgment? There's some sort of third party verifying agancy, so working with opposing counsel or the court are to no avail.
DocDon
Yes, just by disputing. Doesn't always happen the first time, but don't give up.
