wolfpup
i had been turned down for the target card and thought i wouldnt get there! I just went to the credit union here in town and opened a savings account thinking if i got in the door, it would help down the road. I was talking to the lady about wanting to rebuild and she said that they would give me basically a secured visa equal to my savings. No annual fee AND the rate is 7.45%! i have a HH cc at 19%! i wasnt expecting that and now i am excited to have another positive tradeline being reported! morrow
Thats great!! How long have you had your HH card? I ask because alot of the time (speaking from experience) if you've had the card for at least 6 months, you can call them and tell them that you got a better APR offer from a competitor and unless they can match it, you will have no other choice but to close your account. 99% of the time, if you've had a good standing with them...they WILL lower it. Ive used this method on about every card I have and I dont have a card thats more than 9.9% Its worth a shot...and again..congrats.

CleanUp81
wolfpup, Let us know how the request for a lower APR goes with HH. I have an account for a year and never carried a balance so I might give it a shot too. Actually I would like to see if they can upgrade me to a GM card. Does anyone know if you upgrade to a different card through the same company does it stay on the same TL? Example: if I have a Orchard Bank card and they upgrade me to a GM card does that come on as a new account or stay on the same TL?
