bigshooter
I have a small judgement for $151.00 its in another state so they can't collect on it without transferring it to the state I now live in , there is about 3 months left in which I could try and vacate the judgement which I probably could do but I have to drive 10 hours, go to court, etc. Also this same account is on my CR as a collection by the same CA that got the judgement. Should I simply negotiate to have the negative removed from my file and pay the judgement and accept a "judgement paid" or whatever they put on your file regarding paid judgement. I think I have some leverage here to push them to delete the negative since they basically have an unenforcable judgement in another state.OR Should I go to the hassle of trying to vacate the judgement?Does a paid judgement vs. vacating the judgement make a huge difference on my score? Can I request that the CA that got the judgment vacate it on their own or is that possible, do I have to do it? It would be great if they would agree to vacate the judgement and delete the negative in return for payment but I don't know if its possible. They probably won't, but you could try to negotiate both PFD and a vacate.
