I posted this question under Credit Bureaus but haven't received any replies so thought I'd try here.Does anyone know how to find out the Date Of Last Activity on a Charged Off credit card if the DOLA is not listed on your Credit Report? kissinger99 Posted February 11, 2005 Report Share Posted February 11, 2005 I asked this question in the past and haven't gotten a real clear answer yet. One way is to look at your records and see when the last payment/activity was. The DOLA should be 180 days after that.Also, I have had some luck just calling the CRA's and asking when the item was due to fall off of my report. That would be the date you last made payment.The "180 days" referes to their requirement by law to charge the account off.If the DOLA is not listed, you can narrow it down by reading the account history (ie: 30-60-90 days late). The DOLA would be the month immediately prior to the first 30 day late that led to the charge off.The sure-fire method is to request a payment history from the OC. carol124 Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2005 Thanks for the replies!This is the first time I've ever gotten a CR so I'm not sure how the history works. I bought a CR from EQ online but am finding it very confusing. Most history boxes for the CC in question just have a * in them. Then all of a sudden in Jan 1999, it says CO. I take it that means that was when the CC was charged off. What I don't understand though is why there isn't anything in the boxes before that about it being 30-60-90 days late? This has made me question if the CO date in the history is even correct?Do you have any idea why there would be no history of the 30-60-90 days late?Also, if I write to request the payment history from the OC, what do I need to include in the letter? aints68 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Share Posted March 30, 2005 I'm having the same problem with an mbna account showing the same thing almost 2 years after the last payment was actually made. They put * in some months and 30 or 60 in others. BF knows that no payments were made after beginning of 2000 but these monthlys are showing up until the charged off the account in 2002.
