dfwgal
BOO HOO! My EX score fell 40 points due to three new inquiries. I applied for a first premier and an orchard card...of which I got both but now my EX score fell 40 points! What a bummer today.
jq26
I bet those scores will dramatically rise after one month of reporting. My scores dropped when I applied for a credit card (not that drastically) but then rebounded well above where they were before the inquiry after the first month of reporting. shafted
dont worry about the short term.. Longer term you applied for and recieved credit, i.e. other potential lenders see you are credit worthy. You should get most of those 40 points back in 6 mos. Now, if you needed a higher score for a mortage or something, the last thing you should have done is apply for new credit.Dont sweat it bro. Tourniquet416
i'm not even going to look at my credit score for 6 or 7 months.i also just got an orchard card. and i applied for first premier. two other cc turned me down, so i bet my score is in the toilet right now. CleanUp81
I had the same thing happen a while back. Trust me, the positive TL will overshadow the short term loss in points. You will rebound in no time and be above where you were.
