gonefishin_bebackltr
I was recently able to turn a charged off credit card with into a 180 day late because they were billing the correct street address but wrong town. I thought the card was paid off through my bank, but apparently there was still $127 balance. But, I did not receive a bill until this summer for over $700. So, I was able to get them to reverse the interest charges and take the charge off away. Now, I am wondering if I should be settling for even this much. I was thinking the 180 day late would be from March 2001, when I had my last contact. But it is listing as current as I just paid the $127. Part of me thinks it's fair because I did in fact just pay it, but the other part of me thinks that's not fair since I never received a bill and that is not my fault they had an incorrect city. Unfortunately, I have no idea how the address was changed with them. I don't know if I did it on the phone or through a change of address card or if they got the "bad" address from somewhere else. Anybody have any thoughts or ideas???
credit_on_mars
Sometime back a decade or so ago something strange must have drifted into the air above banks and credit cards companies that lowered the IQ and common sense of their employees. Back before this happened I could resolve issues with a bank or other institution with ease and it would stay solved. A case in point to demonstrate that these employees lost their minds; I bought a new car back in mid-1993 and took out a 62-month loan with a State bank in Florida. Payments were not to begin until August 1st., two months later, but I forgot and began paying in July 1 and continued paying monthly until the 60th month when I decided to just pay off the last two payments. That done I received the title and it was clear. All seemed well until I checked my CRA and found that the State bank in Florida had gone BK and was sold to Nations Bank, then a month or two later sold again the Bank of America. My last two payments were marked 120 days late! Hey wait! With title in hand and a clear payment record I began writing BoA with little or no results. It took me several months to get those idiots to understand that the two checks I sent to this Florida Bank was received, paid, returned within a few days I sent them out – but somehow they were considered 120 days late! Yo! I still have to 30-day lates on that BoA CRA listing. How does this happen you ask? The liberal education system that failed to teach our people how to listen to logic!I could care less about it now because I have enough cash to buy anything I want and will never need credit again. I hope they outsource every stinking BoA bank job to Cuba! However, before I would use Crap-1 I would crawl on my knees to BoA!!!! "We don't need no stinkin' bonks!"
