KAY Jewelers, I applied and was Online approved. Card to come in the mail in 7-10 days :) Nice thing to have around Valentines Day!

Current scores are low 600's w/ dschd BK7 4/04.

JeepTravel / others-

I applied online for Kay Jeweler card after reading your post. My FAKO is 596/606/614. I had discharged BK7 in 10/04. I filled out the Kay Jeweler app online and instantly received a message saying that they will be in touch with me in the next 7 days. Does this suggest that they denied me? I don't even plan on buying anything, it just would have been another line of credit.

I should add that I added a FRAUD ALERT to my CRA reports two weeks ago. Not sure if that factors in on the delay.

It took 2 days before I got an email notice saying I ws approved

The fraud alert is a tricky one. I would say that might slow you down some.

Probably a good idea to not apply for things when that is on but that's just my inclination. If you are denied, maybe you can get the inq. removed based on the mess with the fraud alert, not sure

Let us know!

Congrats !!!

I was approved 2 weeks ago, $1500 cl, should help my ut.

Just left Kay's couldn't pull the trigger and use card, maybe tomorrow

Unfortunately, it will not help utilization as they don't report credit limits.

I can't stress that Quote more! Be careful! They are just as bad a Crap1!

I closed my TL w/ them due to errornious reporting! They also take forever to update when you pay the balance off and longer to actually close the TL.

I thought it was Zales that doesn't report credit limits. Either way, I will use it one time for $20, then NEVER again. I'm planning on getting engaged in the next year, but the ring fund has been established and no ring will be purchased till its a cash only transaction!

FYI- I noticed this morning that Target started reporting to all three today. Sure enough, the $300 limit is only reporting as $20 for equifax!

I heard it depends on whether you've used it for a while and/or if it's the first purchase.

You can bet I wont use it if the clerk tells me they need an inquiry
