bigshooter
I have a judgement from a CA which is still in time to vacate. If the OC accepts my payment and cashes my check does that give me grounds to vacate the judgement from the CA.
willingtocope
Read the menu item at the top on "Vacating Judgements". A big question here is who owns the debt. If its still owned by the OC, then they should be able to have the judgement removed if its satisified. On the other hand, if the debt was sold to the CA...then you should try to get it vacated on other grounds...bad service, insufficient DV, etc. If the CA bought the debt, paying the OC isn't going to statisfy the CA's judgement...nor will the CA do anything about the OC trade line on your credit reports.
