cool2day
I am considering hiring a Law Firm to remove some negative items on my credit report. In that regard, I am seeking recommendations. I've been to Lexington Law firm's web site, and somewhat impressed with their "money back guarantee"I thank you in advance for your insights and/or recommendations. tropicaljo
You guys are so funny!!! But seriously, why would anyone want to waste their hard earned money to pay someone to do what they can easily do themselves? That's like .... just giving money away! Hey... !! cool2day
I appreciate all of your feedback. Is there something against using Lexington Law or just using a law firms in general?I was trying to remove a 2-yr old paid collection account record on my credit report through Credit Bureau via the normal dispute process, but it came back validated. How else can I remove it?I did not realize that this was the wrong forum. Thanks in advance for your insights and/or recommendation. MHolkham
I actually did use Lexington law firm for a few months. The only reason being that I am in England and CB's will not reply to me. They managed to get a lot deleted but it did cost a bunch of money. After I went a few months without any more results I cancelled. I am still fighting with the credit bureaus over some things that should be deleted but not having much success
admin
I think Lexington is currently being sued by the FTC or some attorney's general group.
miracle
There is nothing they can do that you can't do yourself... for much less $$! And being involved in the process encourages people to take control of their finances, credit cards, etc.... Don't pay someone to do this.. it is much more worth your time to do it yourself. Good Luck! -Jenn
Alexander
Lexington law just does basic dispute letters and they are slow. If you have already disputed an item two time chances are that Lexington law will not get it deleted. They do offer a legitimate service, just not a very good one. And it's against the law to take any money at all whatsoever from a customer until a service such as getting an account deleted is performed. That's probably why they are being sued if they are.In any case, one can do more for lass and in less time than by hiring Lexington law.
xanadu80
I would highly recommend checking out Credit Xperts. Go to www.creditrepairxperts.com. I used Lexington law for 6 months and they only got one negative item removed which was a late payment on my equifax. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay them indefinately with no guarantee of a time frame. I started with Credit Xperts 4 months ago and they have already gotten almost all the innaccurate items removed. The best part though is that they offer a one time fee of $350 and you never have to pay anything ever again, even if you get items back on your report. If you want to make a monthly payment they have that too but it costs more in the long run. And they also have a full money back guarantee. Check them out.
