broketreeman Posted February 15, 2005 Report Share Posted February 15, 2005 I have a medical bill that i caint really afford to pay until my taxes come back. they sent me a letter today that states that if i dont get intouch with them within 7 days they are going to send it a tax lien place or an outside agency for collection. is there an easy way to postpone this untill i recieve my tax refund?? reno2360 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Share Posted February 15, 2005 Start out by calling them and arrange to make payments you can keep up. If it is still with the medical office they should work with you. At least call them and try to work something out, show them you are willing to pay and want to keep your account out of collections. I you stay silent they will have no choice but to think you have no intentions of even trying to pay. Most medical offices will work out a payment plan if you are willing to contact them.
