FRS Collections is trying to collect a debt on behalf of First Premeir Bank last month I sent them a settlement letter stating that I would be willing to pay 50% of the balance owed. The manager agreed to the terms I advised her that I would be sending a agreement letter for her to sign. Needless to say she has been in receipt of the settlement letter for about a month now so about two weeks ago I then decided to send her a DV letter. Today I open my mail box and I get a threatning letter saying that they are considering further collection efforts to collect the debt after the dumb CA manager agreed to settle. What I need to know is are these people stupid or they just stalling for more time.

Sending a letter stating you would pay for said account, and then turn around and ask that they prove that said account is yours, it kinda seems like you are trying to wesseal out of paying money you legally owe. Its like loaning money to your brother in-law who verbal agrees to pay you back, and then turns around and says prove it. How would you feel? I wouldn't test karma like that, it might come back and bight you in the axx.

While I kinda see your point, you sound like a collector...
