Justgotta
I forgot to ask in my first post regarding my husbands employment. My husband was unemployed from late 2001 to dec 2003 due to a layoff. The only jobs that he could find were paying low hourly wages and with the amount of daycare we would be paying it would be as if he wasn't employed at all. Anywho, his score from Eqfx is 690 mine is 570. Are they going to question the gaps in employment and deny us? Argh! Stupid credit scoring...if only someone never invented it!!! PS I have been employed with the same company for 3 yrs & 3 months
firstsource
They are going to question your husbands employment:Did he actually work duing the time. Sounds like he could have, but did not, because it would not have made sense. Is he in the same line of work that he originally started in before being laid off? Is the company he is with now willing to write a letter saying " he is a great worker, asset to the company, we are going to keep him around forever"? It is worth a try to get one, as his scores are very good, which in an indication to the lenders that even with being laid off, he was able to pay his bills.
