JoeDirtPharmD
Nothing remarkable...My scheduling conference was lame - met the local atty - TU's General counsel was on speaker phone, and the judge basically laid out when he would like to have certain events compelted (ie. settlement discussions, subpoenas served, discovery completed, etc.) and then asked each party if they agreed or would like to amend. Took about 30 mins, shook hands with the local atty - and we parted ways. Settled 3 mos. later. I was completely stressed over the matter but Breana's DH over on CB helped me quite a bit behind the scenes, and assured there was nothing to worry about - and he was right.Anyways - good luck - keep us posted! c m chase
Ok....I'm starting to feel a little better about it. At least I know what's going on now. Heh! Thanks, Joe. I'm such a wussy speaking in person, I'll just have to practice if anyone wants to negotiate. lol Will find out next week how long I have to negotiate with the mirror. c m chase
Ok....so, here's a question. What should I prepare to bring with me? I guess I should have an idea of what kind of settlement I'd offer. Do I need to bring any paperwork? If so: what? I don't need anything to prove my case, do I?And...I have a feeling Mr. Lawyer won't want to shake my hand. I just turned him into the Bar Association and they're presently reaming him. Heh.
