JillWelc
I pulled my CR yesterday for the FIRST time!!! This is all so new to me. I'm wondering how does bankruptcy actually show up on the CR?? There are some old loans (2 car loans) that were bought and paid for. I guess the loans were in both of our names....so will bankruptcy show beside old paid off loans? or only the creditors that are affected (like Citibank). I'm hoping it dosn't show on husbands CR.ThanksJill
miracle
I believe the TLs that were claimed in BK would read "IIB" (Included in BK) and the ones that were not included should say nothing in reguards to the BK.

Along with the TL designation of IIB, you'll have this or something similar on your CR:I put Xs in the personal info part!Bankruptcy: Discharged CH-7 Date Filed: XXX 1, 2004 Reference #: XXXXXXX-ABC-XX/04 Court: US DIST CT Plaintiff: N/A Liability: $X Asset Amount: $X

jq26
TL = trade line. Its equal to, let's say, one credit card or one loan. If the TL is included in a BK, below all of the other info like limits, high credit, etc, it will be listed as INCLUDED IN BANKRUPTCY. Even if you are able to remove all of the negative TLs associated with BK (as I am trying to do to boost my score) you still have the BK showing up in the public record area. jq26
Sorry for delay- haven't checked this site in a few days. As far as removing TLs that correctly report IIB, I am in the process now. So far, here's where I am at:1) Changed address and opened new credit lines at new address. 2) Initiated fraud alert and blocked file to creditor soft inquiries. 3) I had all past addresses removed. Experian hasn't complied yet but TU and EQU did it immediately. I am trying again with EXP.4) DV'ed the two CA accounts (IIB status, balance $0) about 10 days ago using new address.5) Disputed all 5 IIB accounts about 7 days ago with all three credit bureaus as NOT MINE, NEVER HEARD OF THESE ACCOUNTS. It would be great if even a few of them are deleted this way. Following deletion of my old addresses, they sent me a letter telling me that they deleted my "FRAUDULENT" addresses, so I think the fraud alert is beneficial. Hopefully they will delete the TLs associated with it as fraudulent as well. It may be wishful thinking, but its worth a shot!Have you attmpted to remove them yet? Any ideas?BK7 10/0402/05598/606/
