Thomas1096
Hi..I have read how you guys have gotten your inquiries removed. My question is how. I can't get anywhere with them. I was just turned down for inquiries, not for my payment history. Could somebody do an updated sticky on the known processes or just tell me here. All together, I have 44 HARD inquiries over the past 2 years.18 with TU13 EX17 EQ...ANY HELP at all would be helpful.

devil21
First post on this forum....AoC regular branching out.I have had success getting TU to remove inquiries if there is no connection between the inquiry and any existing tradeline. Do an online dispute and when you get to the final section where it lets you enter "additional information you feel is necessary", just enter your inquiries, dates and non-pp reference. Make it compact b/c you only get 320 characters. I got 5 of 8 off that way. Dont bother with ones that are related to current tradelines.

CreditSuperstar
Anyone have any luck having inquiries removed online with Exp and Eq? I just followed the previous advice and disputed the 5 I have with TU, but before I send certified mail to Exp and Eq, I'd like to know if I have a shot doing it online. Thanks guys (and gals)FCS
miracle
Again, inquiry removal seems hit or miss. Sometimes you can get a really nice rep on the phone to delete all you want deleted and sometimes you run into many brick walls. I am not sure that one techniques works better than another.. but it would be worth trying all the methods listed. It may take a couple of months to do so. devil21
I have heard of EFX removing all hard inquires upon request. You can call and ask as many times as you want, you might just get someone who will do it.

CreditSuperstar
WOW!Equifax just removed the last 2 hard inquiries. Got a receipt # and all. Experian rep showed me how to dispute those online and said that there is a 99% chance the 2 I have there will come off. Disputed the 5 TU ones online and we will see how those go. Thanks everyone for the great advice.FCS
Thomas1096
How did he say how to remove those online... PLEASE tell us. They will not even score me...?????
CreditSuperstar
Hey Thom,He told me to do it the same way you would dispute a tradeline. Go into your Exp credit report- go to "CLICK HERE FOR EXPERIAN DISPUTE". Then you are required to enter the last 4 digits of your S.S. #. That brings you to the dispute report MENU. I believe the 3rd option down the list allows you to view your inquiries. From there you can dispute those that you choose. The only problem is that sometimes Experian has problems logging you on to the dispute area. I think it's perhaps because so many people are now disputing! Good luck with it man.FCS
devil21
Hmm EXP online usually tells you to call to dispute.
creditdodger
FutureCredStar,How do you access your Experian credit report? Do you have a subscription to their monitoring service or myfico service? The instructions you gave don't go with the traditional free online EX report. Just wondering... Thomas1096
It's not allowing me to dispute anything but the positive credit... I can not even dispute my address...It is the third option down, BUT there is nothing that will allow tou to dispute it.
CreditSuperstar
Dev,Does Exp usually do that? I acted as dumb as I could(not a big trick for me) and also told the person how great the customer service people have been to me. Also told them I could only imagine the job they have to do in dealing with the general public. Good job of a$$ kissing..lol? Anyway, that's what they did for me. Good luck everyone.FCS
Thomas1096
so you were actually able to dispute inquiries online at what site?
devil21
Ive heard of Experian being VERY hard to remove inquiries. EFX and TU have been easy.
forgop
I sent in a letter to all 3 bureaus about 10 days ago to dispute every negative TL and every inquiry that I didn't have an account with. TU sent me a response that they can't remove inquiries and that I should contact those doing the inquiries about them.
Thomas1096
I was just logged in and looking at my report, but there was no link to be able to dispute the inquiries.Did I misunderstand?
CreditSuperstar
Thom & others,I have a subscription to the freecreditreport.com monitoring service. When I log in I then go to my credit report. It does indeed have a dispute link in the inquiry section. The Experian rep showed me how to locate it and it seemed to work well for me. I hope you guys can find it.FCS
Thomas1096
FCS...After you type in your last 4 digits, you then click the "Check the recent requests for your credit history."Then what? I don't see a link and I'm using the same thing as you. Could you describe it to us? What are the steps after the "check the recent......."Thanks
gdouglaslee
Hopefully you got a copy of your credit report before you dipsuted all those inquiries off. You really have to take a hard look at inquiries (and addresses), especially that many. You may be the victim or a potential vicitm of credit fraud. Wouldn't you just die if you found out you had just obliterated the only piece of evidence to prove an account wasn't yours? Seen it happen.Without your credit report, it also makes it difficult to sent out ITS letters. I'll bet you could have gotten at least $4000 in non-PP claims just from ITS letters.
