anti-something
Had a weirdo thing happen last night, some woman came to the door, knocked and rang the bell multiple times.DH opened the door, she said she had called earlier and here was the package.. offering him this envelope. He asked her to turn it around so he could look at it, but he couldnt read who it was addressed to, so he just told her she had the wrong address and shut the door.I'm wondering, if someone tries to serve you, do they have to say what it is, or can they just hand it to you under false pretences? Corrine
State law may vary but in my state you must identify the person you are about to serve (confirm who the person is before handing anything over). Once they acknowledge they are the person in question you must give them the summons and tell them they have been served.
