krisb74
A couple of months or so ago we received a call from Riddle Assoc. stating they had an account belonging to my husband, blah blah. He told them he had never heard of them, had received no written info from them, to send him this information so that he could look into it. We never received anything from them and that was the only call we received. Last week, we started getting these recorded messages from them stating they 'have an important legal matter for John Doe, please call our office at blah blah'. We have not contacted them back. Do we send a DV letter off to them even though we have nothing from them? Not sure where to go on this either, b/c from what they told him on the phone it was regarding a cc bill that we *think* we had taken care of, (we did 3 settlements a couple of years ago and have moved since, all of those papers are packed away and we havent looked into it any further since they've provided us with nothing in writing anyway. ) Any advice appreciated, I'm really tired of their daily messages! LadynRed
YES, definitely DV them ! Riddle and Associates were butt-buddies with SCAMCO for a long while. Now that SCAMCO has been shut down, Riddle no doubt has moved on to new masters. Riddle collects on a LOT of out-of-statute debts, so you MUST DV them. Make sure you include a limited C&D with your DV letter, restrict them to MAIL CONTACT only.
