creditobsessed
I have a CA on my reports with 2 accounts for medical bills. The total for both accounts is $515.00. These accounts are from 12/2001. I sent them 2 DV letters(outside the 30 day time limit), and they have not responded. They don't call or send letters but they verify with the CRA everytime I dispute. I don't want to call them, and I have no idea what the bills are for . Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get these people to respond or go away? Thanks!!
divemedic
Well, if you look at the TL's, I bet they don't have the dispute notice, and usually the 3 TL's on the different CRA's don't match (meaning the TL's are not complete and accurate, and that they didn't investigate). That would be 9 different violations for each TL every time they verify (b/c the status date changes, which shows they re-reported.)So, for 2 accounts, if they have verified twice each with all 3 CRA's, you have 36 violations under the FCRA. You could easily get a judgement for $1000 plus expenses under the FCRA and if state law allows you could get more there. When the CA sees this, they will almost always cave and settle, if you have done a good job on your filings.
CreditSuperstar
Hey Dive-Where do you find the specific wording of the violations you mentioned? I couldn't find the proper sticky. I am about at the point where I need to list violations to the CA and the CRA's.Thanks for any help-FCS
creditobsessed
You're right the TL's are not listing as disputed. I Believe I will send and ITS to the CEO after I file a complaint with the FTC. Maybe that will wake them up.Thanks again!
