My report has been hit by CBCS for a medical bill back in 1999 recently. It has been on my report for some time. I pulled my TU and found the number for the agency and called. The number is not in service. I disputed this item with all 3 bureaus and TU took it off, but the other two remain and show consumer dispute. I recently tried again and should know soon. If they are not removed again what do I do since I have no information on the CA. They have never sent me a bill nor contacted me. I put this in my online dispute, but the last time it did not work. Please help.

Call the Credit Bureau who is reporting it, and ask them for CBCS's address. If CBCS verifies it then they have their address. I found another thread discussing a CBCS collection agency, maybe it's the same one:

http://debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23400&highlight=cbcs

It has this contact info for CBCS:

Credit Bureau Collection Services, Inc.

DBA CBCS

236 E Town St

Columbus, OH 43215

Phone: (614) 222-5500 Fax: (614) 222-5497

Branches: CA; FL; IN; MI; NH; NY; OH; PA; SD; VT

Hope this helps.

There are two posts that ran days apart about this CA. The FDCPA states:

[section 807] (16) The false representation or implication that a debt collector operates or is employed by a consumer reporting agency as defined by section 603(f) of this Act.

I would strongly urge reporting this behavior. If they're so well versed in the FDCPA, at the very least, they can't read.

I called the office for the number you gave me. They said that they were the columbus based office and that my account was being handled through the Pittsburgh office. The gave me the number to call them. I have been calling everyday and noone answers the phone. I called the columbus office back and they told me there was nothing they could do. I stressed that I wanted to get this resolved, but they refused to help. I have tried to get this taken off my report numerous times, but they keep saying that the information is correct. What am I suppose to do know?

Also does anyone know how I can get in touch with experian and equifax over the phone to see what number they are calling so I can get this fixed?
