pursuit Posted February 28, 2005 Report Share Posted February 28, 2005 I have a CA after my sis for $360 dollars. after DVing them, they sent a letter which has Amount Due: $0Interest Due: $0Coll Cost: $0Legal Fees: $0Total Due $0But in the msg text, they state they "need to proceed with steps to secure this debt" and added a $40 fee for a stop payment on a check that was placed before I figured out my sis hadn't DV'dCan I use this letter showing $0 due against them? If they admit that you don't owe them anything, I just don't see how they can charge you fees. I'd also ask for a detailed summary of all the charges as well.
